Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project (DRILP) Phase III
DRILP Phase 3 will support the Government of Nepal to accelerate recovery and reconstruction following the devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015 and the major aftershock of 12 May 2015. The project will provide the Technical Assistance (TA) to implement the Asian Development Bank (ADB) financed Earthquake Emergency Assistance Project in rebuilding 450 kms of damaged roads in 12 districts[1] of Nepal and rehabilitate 200 kms of trails in two[2] districts. [1] The 12 earthquake affected project districts are Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Kavre, Sindhuli, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Lamjung, Gorkha and Chitwan [2] Dolakha and Gorkha

Nepal Community Reconstruction Program (NCRP) IDIQ Task Order to Reconstruct or Rehabilitate Schools and Health Facitilities
Task Order to reconstruct or rehabilitate three secondary schools (SS) and four health facilities (Three Primary Health Care Centres (PHCC) and one Health Post (HP)) in Sindhuli District, Nepal, which were damaged, destroyed otherwise affected by the April 25, 2015 earthquake, and its subsequent aftershocks. This Task Order supports the post-earthquake development objectives of USAID/Nepal.

UNFPA -Comprehensive Sexuality Education Program - Phase 2 & 3
UNFPA Nepal with the funding support from the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) initiated a project on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) since 2016 in five districts, namely Bajhang, Baitadi, Rukum, Sindhuli and Udayapur in Nepal.The project aims to ensure young people (in/out of school) have adequate information and knowledge on various dimensions of gender equality and sexual and reproductive health to empower and enable them to make informed decisions about their lives.Building on the successes and lessons learnt over the years, both from UNFPA’s CSE programs and the Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response (GBVPR) Programme – the new phase of the programme aims to tackle the root causes of gender based violence. It will do so by expanding CSE for increased awareness amongst relevant population to challenge the social norms and strengthening a multi-sectoral approach by leveraging role of the Education sector for GBV prevention.

Securing Chitwan-Sindhuli Green Corridor; strengthening community stewardship and law enforcement
This project aims to address these challenges by: 1) strengthening capacity and improving transboundary LE coordination, and 2) building capacity of newly established provincial LE agencies by enabling data sharing and intra-agency enforcement efforts to disrupt priority IWT trafficking routes and international wildlife crime through Nepal. 3) by securing community stewardship at key pangolin source sites outside the PA network, through proven Community Management Pangolin Conservation Areas (CMPCAs) which empower communities to manage their community forests, protect pangolins and participate with LE agencies 4) improving well-being through community-led sustainable livelihood schemes, promoting gender equity and social inclusion, increasing local economic and ecological resilience, further “future-proofing” community engagement.

Help with COVID-19 relief materials to hospital
We will support two hospitals; Manmohan Memorial Community Hospital, Dakshinkali and HANDS Polyclinic, Sindhuli. As COVID-19 infection is increasing, hospitals need urgent support to handle patients. With the lack of PPE and other basic equipment such as oximeter, the hospital staffs, patients and visitors are at high risk. We will provide hospitals with PPE and other requisites for fighting the pandemic. This will help hospitals to deliver health services smoothly in the communities.

F.a: Women empowerment through sustainable access to finance and business skills
1. Project: 11865 Women Employment through Sustainable Access to Finance and Skills #2. Project area and Country: Sindhuli district, Nepal. #3. Project justification: #The higher concentration of minority and indigenous groups in the Sindhuli district has significantly contributed to the overall poverty levels of the local populations. High gender based disparity and discrimination have negative impacts on income opportunities and womens control of production assets in the targeted area. Also, womens access to information, finance and skill training opportunities are low in. Womens participation in local level decision-making is still rare in Sindhuli and one of the major obstacles for women to realize their social economic and political rights. Prevalent ge nder based violence is a human rights violation and a strong barrier for women empowerment.#4. The main objective and the expected results:#The project aims to contribute to social and economic empowerment of women through the establishment and strengtheni ng of women-led local cooperatives, capacity building and advocacy towards local government on womens rights. Women, particularly from the socially marginalized and economically poor groups, will increase their access to business/income opportunities throu gh enhanced technical and entrepreneurship skills and better market linkages. The project will enhance rural womens access to finance through the establishment and strengthening of women owned and led cooperatives. Womens participation in decision making a nd networking will be strengthened. This will contribute to womens enhanced access to public resources and services. The rights holders comprise of economically poor and socially marginalized groups, including indigenous ethnic and tribal groups such as Da nuwar, Majhi and Magar.#5. Right-holders/ beneficiaries: 2900 persons (including 2400 women, 100 school drop-out girls and 400 other community people)#Duty bearers: local authorities and leaders, local institutions, community based organizations (CBOs) #6.
