NEA deliveries under Energy for Development Program (Efu). Nepal mapping and country activities. Deliveries in Nepal under the Frame Agreement with the Norwegian Environmental Agency (NCA). NCA will provide technical assistance and capacity building to government institutions in partner countries, mainly under the Energy for Development Program. The Energy for Development program aims to strengthen the competence and capacity of national authorities in partner countries, to ensure effective management of the renewable energy sector, energy access for all, and accelerate climate mitigation and adaptation through low-emission energy solutions. Energy for Development provides customized technical cooperation between national authorities in partner countries and Norwegian public institutions. In particular, the program aims to help achieve; a) effective legal and regulatory frameworks for investment in renewable energy b) resilient, effective and sustainable energy systems, including transmission, and c) transition to low-emission renewable energy and emission reduction from existing energy production. Environmental management will be emphasized, including climate adaptation. The efforts at country level shall be based on national plans/priorities and including nationally determined contributions under the Paris Agreement (NDCs).
