The Climate Resilient Rural Communities (CRRC) programme aims to strengthen the climate resilience and well-being of rural communities in Malawi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Nepal, and Guatemala. The target group is smallholder farmers, with a particular focus on women, youth and marginalised groups. CRRC will apply a holistic approach that integrates agroecology, climate-adapted agriculture, natural resource management, food security, nutrition, gender equality, economic empowerment, and policy advocacy. Outcomes will be achieved by diversified and increased agriculture production, increased seed security, better livestock management, sustainable management of resources, capacity building of grassroots organisations and policy work at local, national and international level. The programme is implemented in close partnership with experienced local civil society organisations, supported by strategic partners providing technical expertise. Local grassroots organisations are central to planning, implementation and monitoring, ensuring strong community ownership. National and district authorities are engaged to align activities with development strategies and policies, supporting long-term sustainability.

The Atlas Alliance 2025-2029 program aims to support the rights and improve the lives of persons with disabilities in developing countries. Civil society strengthening, particularly partnership with local OPDs, is central to the program. Human rights advocacy towards national and local decision makers, and capacity building of persons with disabilities and their organisations to promote human rights and disability inclusion. Women and girls with disabilities experience discrimination and barriers when it comes to accessing education and employment opportunities, and they have an increased vulnerability to gender-based violence (GBV).The Atlas Alliance works to combat all types of discrimination, violence and harmful practices against women and girls with disabilities.

Adolescent girls and young women aged 10-24 are empowered, resilient and exercise their rights. Quality inclusive education, household economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights and meaningful youth engagement for adolescent girls and young women, their families and communities so that they are empowered, have increased resilience towards climate change effects and other shocks/stresses and exercise their rights in contexts challenged by gender norms, harmful practices and poverty in Nepal.

Through student mobility to Norwegian higher education institutions, the scheme aims to educate qualified candidates for the workforce in the students' home countries and to strengthen knowledge in subject areas needed by the partner countries.

The project aim is to further develop and consolidate the newly established system for mental health services for children and adolescents, in close cooperation with Kanti Children’s Hospital, Mental Hospital Lagankhel in Kathmandu, and with the Nepalese government. It will provide outpatient and inpatient treatment with specialists onsite, and through teleconsultations. There will be outreach work in rural areas, emergency services and training for non-health specialists and non-health actors. There is emphasis on providing girls with equal access to services, and on addressing the ways in which mental illness manifests differently in boys and girls due to the cultural context. Clinical research will be managed from the CWIN Research and Outreach Centre. The project supports PhD research and scientific analysis and publication of findings. The project specifically includes children and adolescents with permanent or temporary mental impairments, and aims to reduce their vulnerabilities, as well as the cultural stigma attached to mental illness.

The project aims at significantly improving the health situation and economic independence of women in the project area and empowering them to advocate for their right and preparing them to take on leading positions in local governance bodies. The project will develop the agriculture and business skills of the farmers (mostly female) and develop new market mechanism for sale of agricultural products. The project will focus on family health, on nutrition, safe drinking water and maternal health. Furthermore, the project will continue RDTA’s well-established programme and methodology for promotion of crops and farming practices that are less vulnerable to the on-going climate change in the Himalayas
