Disaster Risk Management and Humanitarian Preparedness Project, Nepal

The project, core programme of the PIP P00709 is focussed on reducing poverty and vulnerability of disaster prone groups. It has three major interventions in line with JCS; livelihood integrated community based disaster risk management and climate change adaptation, humanitarian capacity building and humanitarian advocacy. The project covers 24 VDCs in 4 districts. The current focus will be on federating communities in VDC level cooperative and gradually transferring the role of partners to the local institutions on DRM and CCA.
