Cities 4 Women - Supporting Inclusive and Resilient Urbanization in Nepal
UNOPS in partnership with Cities Alliance, UN-Habitat, and the European Union, promote Inclusive and Climate Resilient urbanization in Nepal.\n\nThe project aims to promote women’s leadership and participation in decision-making at the local level, support the development of gender-inclusive city strategies, and drive demonstrative pilot actions. \nThis includes the following: \nA Policy review to support the creation of a gender-inclusive framework for Nepal’s National Urban Development Strategy (NUDS), \nTo promote women’s leadership and participation in decision-making at the local level and to support the transformative action of the women leaders in five municipalities. Co-finance Proof of Concept projects t support the creation of pilot spatial interventions dedicated to women through a participatory process, topping up the municipal annual budgets (co-financing). Knowledge Management to foster exchange and cross-fertilization between the five cities, Academia, and governmental Knowledge Institutions, regarding gender-inclusive and climate-resilient city strategies\n\n
