Restoration and Seismic Strengthening of the Early 20th-Century Gaddi Baithak in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Phase 2 and Gateway
Built in 1907 as an addition to the Hanuman Dhoka, the royal residence of Nepali kings, and damaged during the April 2015 Nepal Earthquake, the Gaddi Baithak is one of the most prominent monuments in Kathmandu Durbar Square. This project, which continues work begun under a previous AFCP grant, directly supports the Embassys Integrated Country Strategy (ICS) Goal 2.
