Restoration of the 17th- and 18th-Century Patan Royal Palace, Phase 2

To support the continuation of work begun under a previous Ambassadors Fund grant to restore the Patan Royal Palace, one of South Asias most intact historic urban royal ensembles. Major earthquakes in 1833 and 1934 and decades of neglect and disuse have left their mark on the palace, most of which dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. This phase includes the restoration of the late 18th-century Bahadur Shah palace wing.
