Livelihood and Empowerment Project (LEP)
Livelihood and Empowerment Project (LEP) targets to reach among 10,684 members of 30 cooperative , through cooperative strengthening development and campaigning activities ,directly in 30 village development committee of 5 districts; Udayapur, Makawanpur, Nawalparasi, Kapilbastu and Arghakhanchi. Besides, it will also contribute to the policy advocacy and campaign works around GROW/Food & Economic Justice campaign in the country linking with community -based initiatives. It will also undertake phase review of LEP and document the outcomes and lesson learned from the project as part of knowledge management and .the phase review document help Oxfam to design new phase of the project in Nepal. The following intervention will be carried out by the project; 1.Women and Community Empowerment 2. Integration of Disaster and climate change adaptation to reduce vulnerability 3. Building livelihood of the community more resilient 4. Institutionalization and strenthening of community groups and cooperatives to sustain impact 5. Influencing pro -poor policy on food, agriculture, land and climate change; by linking community work with policy influencing with GROW/FEJ campaign
