Enterprise Development Programme - Pokhara Women Skill Devt. Pvt. Ltd

The project will support Pokhara Women Skill Development Pvt Ltd in increasing their production of handmade woven products, especially bags, dolls, and decorative items. PWSD works with women member producers who belong to marginalised communities and are vulnerable and economically dependent on their husbands. The project will help to create employment opportunities for 900 women producers by providing training, enhancing their capacity, increasing access to finance of PWSD through loan guarantee, and ultimately making it sustainable by increasing sales revenue. The project also aims to contribute on bringing out different women issues and reducing domestic violence through Rapid Care Analysis and Participatory Learning Centers (PLCs) , and thereby empowering women. The project will work with banks, private sectors, government and other market actors to help recognize the Fair -Trade Business Model among wider stakeholders.
