CSF 15-22 Defeating Fear Finding Leprosy in Nepal
The ‘Dignity First’ project aims to improve the health, well-being and dignity of people affected by leprosy or disability in four districts in southern Nepal (Lalitpur, Bara, Parsa and Rautahat), with their implementing partner The Leprosy Mission Nepal. The objective is to enhance the technical capacity of Government health workers and community health volunteers to identify, diagnose, treat, and manage leprosy and complications. The key activities include delivering hospital services directly to rural communities providing surgery and preventing further disability. In addition, it will help participants to build resilience through self-help groups with opportunities to develop climate resilient livelihoods and for meaningful engagement with local government on relevant issues, through a gender and context sensitive approach.
