The project focuses on reducing poverty and vulnerability of disaster prone groups. It has three major components - enhancing community resiliency through DRR and Climate Change Adaptation, Mainstreaming DRR into policies, plans and budget and gender sensitive institutional capacity building of government private sectors and Civil Society Organisations. The project covers 24 Village Development Committees of four districts Sarlahi, Saptari, Rautahat and Dhanusha where Oxfam in Nepal has been implementing DRR -Humanitarian Programme in the past.
