COVID-19 (Unilever)
Oxfam and its partners are committed to ensuring sustained improvement in hygiene and health behaviours, not only to limit the spread of Covid -19, but also with the aim of improving overall health and safety of the most vulnerable. The use and further adaptation of Mum's Magic Hands (MMH) approach to the context of Covid -19 will result in a robust understanding of behavioural motivators, and as such will be vital to promote and sustain relevant hygiene practices to reduce the spread of Covid -19. Understanding and addressing unintended negative consequences of this pandemic, particularly in relation to gender, is a key priority for Oxfam and its partners to ensure women are not disproportionately burdened, discriminated and dis empowered due to lock down and isolation.
