The significant damage and loss of lives and displaced population were reported from Mid and Far Western hilly and Southern plain districts from incessant rainfall during 13 -15 August 2014. Considering number of displaced population Oxfam decided to respond in three out of five worst affected districts with Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihood (EFSVL) support to the displaced population. Key interventions under WASH and EFSVL interventions include Cash for Work (CFW); Hygiene Kit distribution; distribution of livelihood inputs; public health awareness; latrine and water supply facilities in the Internally Displaced Person (IDP) camps.
