Post Earthquake Reconstruction_WASH in Nepal
Our efforts in reconstruction works will be for provision of drinking water, but our work will encourage improved sanitation and promote good hygiene practices. Improving water supplies means providing water more reliably, of better quality and closer to households, thereby reducing water -related disease and freeing time for women to undertake more productive activities and for girls to attend school. We have integrated programmes for sanitation and hygiene promotion into our activities to ensure that these wider benefits for women and the whole community are achieved and sustained.
