TO ENHANCE THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITION AND ENABLE CLIMATE-SMART LIVELIHOOD INTERVENTIONS OF VULNERABLE AND MARGINALISED GROUPS RESIDING IN FOUR COMMU

The project will enable targeted groups to increase their economic security through diversified livelihood strategies including introducing better climate-smart agricultural practices. There is a strong focus on local ownership. The project will support the building of local expertise but will also further develop the capacity of Nepal Red Cross staff and volunteers who will implement the project and then provide longer-term support to maintain the project outcomes. The Irish Red Cross expects that the initiatives supported by the project will prepare individuals and communities to be more resilient to the risks they face, with a range of practices that will enable them to anticipate, adapt and respond to situations.
