DRR/HTN Preparedness and Enhancing CSOs roles for climate resilient communities
The project focuses on reducing poverty and vulnerability of disaster prone communities. It has five major components - enhancing community based disaster preparedness, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihood and Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) into policies, plans and budget and gender sensitive institutional capacity building of government private sectors and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The project covers 17 wards of two districts Saptari and Rautahat where Oxfam in Nepal has been implementing Disaster Risk Reduction -Humanitarian Preparedness (DRR -HP) in the past.
