Flash Flood Emergency Response in Nepal
Purposed activities for next 2 to 3 months • Food basket support to affected HH (Food basket cost / package for 1 month ( 400 gm cereal, 60 gm pulses, 25 gm oil, 50 gm fortified blended soybean, 15 gm salt) /person /day @ 7,500/HH). • Detail livelihood assessment for next 6 months, detail livelihood and need assessment • Livelihood protection for 250 HHs, Business support grant to small shopkeepers - based on the detail need assessment and market assessment. • Livelihood recovery for 2500 HHs, Livelihood recovery support package (seed, fertilizer, livestock) based on the detail need assessment and market assessment • Emergency Shelter Kit distribution: The primary target of this activity is to ensure that displaced families are provided with immediate life -saving shelter solutions in the form of Emergency Shelter Kit (2 pcs of 4m x 6m tarpaulin per household, 20 m of Nylon Rope). • Household Kits distribution: Ideally each household receiving Emergency Shelter Kit should receive one household kit containing essential non -food items so that normal household activities can resume. There are two different kinds of HH Kits used by Oxfam so far:
