Ur Sidas perspektiv har det förväntade resultatet av det samlade stödet till Islamic Relief varit att rädda liv, lindra nöd och upprätthålla mänsklig värdighet, till förmån för nödlidande, baserat på identifierade humanitära behov hos utsatta grupper i prioriterade länder. Utöver stöd genom planerbara program, förmedlades även stöd via en så kallad snabbinsatsmekanism som möjliggjorde att Islamic Relief kunde ge omedelbart humanitärt stöd efter plötsliga eller förvärrade kriser. Dessa snabbinsatsstöd hade därmed ytterligare ett förväntat resultat; att snabbt nå fram till nödlidande. Islamic har under femårsperioden genomfört ett stort antal humanitära program i 21 länder. Att definiera några få, specifika och uppföljningsbara mål för en så pass omfattande portfölj i enlighet med SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely) är naturligtvis svårt. Verksamhetens geografiska inriktning har dessutom medvetet tillåtits vara flexibel för att möjliggöra årliga prioriteringar, baserat på aktuella humanitära behov. Islamic Relief har istället valt att presentera uppföljningsbara mål och årliga verksamhetsplaner för varje specifikt land där de genomfört verksamhet. Förväntade resultat har presenterats i form av beskrivande text kring förändringsteori, mål och aktiviteter, men även genom så kallade logframes och programbudgetar.

This investment will strengthen humanitarian preparedness in Nepal through strategic partnerships with UNFPA and WFP. Funding under this investment represents Australia's support to Nepal in response to the recent devastating floods and landslides that have left over 1.7 million people in need of assistance. Flooding caused by heavy monsoon rains has resulted in over 150 deaths, damaged 65,000 homes and destroyed 64,000 hectares of standing crops across Nepal. Through this investment Australia will provide $2 million to the international relief effort, including $1 million through our humanitarian partnership with Australian non-government organisations and $1 million through the World Food Programme. The assistance will deliver emergency shelter, food, clean water and healthcare for those who have been affected by this disaster. Our contribution to the World Food Programme will enable it to treat 5,900 children under the age of five and 1,600 pregnant and nursing mothers for moderate acute malnutrition in the worst affected areas.
