Inclusive and Resilient Community with Empowered and Engaged People, Youth Leader Exchange Project (YLEP2)

This youth leader exchange project, YLEP2, is the second phase of youth leader exchange which will support the youth activities in the project “Inclusive and Resilient Community with Empowered and Engaged People” (ICE) in Lamjung, Nepal. This project builds on learnings from the first exchange in 2023 and it aims to empower youth by enhancing their capacity and enabling them to position themselves as change agents in their families and communities. The porject will strengthen the capacity of Nepal Red Cross youth volunteers to support local youth in Lamjung district by building personal capacities and initiating youth-led projects to enhance their livelihood. The key activities are training of youth as peer facilitators in the core DRCY methods ‘Life Skills’ and ‘Sprint’ (activity kickstarter), and the roll-out of sessions in schools and community youth circles facilitated by the peer facilitators and supported by the youth leader team.
