EnDev Adaptation Impact Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to assess and describe adaptation impact induced by EnDev interventions. The assignment would focus on four use-cases: 1) powering ventilation; 2) water pumping / irrigation; 3) powering communication; and 4) clean cooking. The assignment will include case studies in two EnDev countries that are highly vulnerable to climate change and where chances are high that measurable impact may be achieved through EnDev activities. In these countries and for these use-cases, the assignment aims at first describing the links between the activities and impacts and providing more detailed insights about the magnitude of EnDev’s contribution to adaptation to climate change of EnDev target groups. Furthermore, the assignment aims to investigate which indicators would be relevant to measure adaptation impact for these use-cases and related additional monitoring requirements. Thirdly, the assignment includes the identification of relevant partners in the climate adaptation-energy interconnection, at national and international level. Finally, the study aims to identify potential future supplementary measures of EnDev activities to augment adaptation impacts.
