PUBLIC PROCUREMENT REFORM IN NEPAL
The main objective of the Grant is to help His Majestys Government of Nepal (HMGN) to enhance the quality of public procurement through procedural and institutional reformscomma including adoption of a comprehensive procurement lawcomma revision and consolidation of all existing procurement rules and regulationscomma preparation of a framework for institutionalizing procurement trainingcomma and implementation of training program. To meet this objectivecomma the grant will help develop a draft modern transparent and competitive Public Procurement Lawcomma and related rules and procedures. In additioncomma it will help establish institutionalized training arrangements and conduct initial training programcomma particularly for trainers and officials responsible for the management of public procurement including contract administration.
