Building a gendered media which contributes to diversity, youth empowerment and emergency and disaster response in South Asia

gender inequalities in human development, reveals a gap in South Asia that is larger than that of any other region. In 2014, South Asia scored 19.3 percent higher than the global average, indicating widespread discrimination. 60% of people aged between 15 and 24 live in Asia and the Pacific; that's about 700 million youth. Out of the 700 million youth, over 85 million young people in the region live in extreme poverty on less than $1.90 a day. This activity seeks to contribute to addressing the vulnerability of women and youth in South Asia through Media, for their strengthened contribution to Sustainable Development and a better environment of a Culture of peace in the region.
