80 Days of Coffee

To create employment for young Nepalese, Simultaan B.V. started cultivating coffee together with Nepalese farmers. This coffee is imported by Simultaan B.V. for the business and consumer market in the Netherlands. Nepalese farmers use their own land and labour for the production of coffee beans and Simultaan B.V. and the locally started company Charge Nepal provide trainings on how to cultivate the crop and increase its quality, first plants and all needed for production. The DGGF-TA enabled the company to improve the quality of production and to import the first 2,800 kg of coffee beans to the Netherlands. The local company Charge Nepal has employed 3 people to manage its projects and 22 indirect, in the form of farmers and other suppliers were supported because of the project. During the course of the DGGF-TA 54 people received trainings on the whole cultivation process. Through direct trade and a high price for the coffee the farmers have a sustainable and fair jobs.
