Green and Inclusive Energy (GIE) is a new five-year strategic programme launched in 2016 with the ‘aim of meet energy needs of women and men for their daily activities and livelihoods by transitioning to renewable energy systems that create economic opportunities (especially for women) and reduce the effects of climate change’. In Nepal, GIE programme has supported undertaking research with the aim of generating evidence and policy messages for policy lobby and advocacy.
