Protection and Promotion of Dalit Human Rights in Karnali Province

The aim of the project is to strengthen legal access for Dalits (ethnic group that belongs to the “untouchables”) who are victims of caste-based discrimination. To this end, an app is to be developed that will allow cases to be documented and registered. This data can then be used in both political and legal work with law enforcement agencies. At the same time, Dalit human rights defenders are to be trained (on how to use the app, but also on constitutional and statutory rights and how to cooperate with local law enforcement authorities). In a second step, cases should then be documented with the help of the app.
