Safeguarding traditional knowledge as living heritage of Indigenous communities in Nepal

UNESCO will work with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, ICIMOD, NEFIN and the Indigenous Nationalities Commission to carry out a scoping study on the traditional knowledge of Indigenous pastoralist and farming communities in Nepal, and its role in safeguarding agricultural biodiversity and cultural diversity. This will support inclusive heritage safeguarding and the regional focus on cultural diversity, youth and community engagement.
