Support to Nepal's School Sector Reform Programme

Nepal has requested the Development Partners to support the education sector through the School Sector Reform Program (SSRP). The overall objective of the SSRP is to contribute towards poverty reduction through inclusive responsive and accountable local go vernance and participatory community-led development. The Program development objective is to increase access to and quality of school education especially for children from marginalized groups. There are seven development partners in the Joint Financial A greement with the Ministry of Education of Nepal. Finnish participation to the Joint Financing Agreement is ? 16 million during 2009-2014 and the additional financing ? 70 million during 2014-2016.
