Fostering creative sector and promoting cultural expressions in Nepal
The activity will provide technical support towards the ratification of the 2005 Convention for the protection and promotion of cultural expressions in Nepal. Building on the experience of the recent designation of Kathmandu as UNESCO Creative City of Film, the activity will expand strategic partnership with other cities and urban centres outside Kathmandu for the promotion of UCCN and creative economy in Nepal. Through mapping, the key sectors under the Cultural and Creative Industry will be identified and consultations between Ministries and private sector will be enabled to promote the development of the sector in Nepal.
