A Green and Strong West
The planned multi-donor co-operation project between Finland, Germany and the EU is in line with the new Nepal Country Program 2021-2024 Impact area 1 that focuses on communities? improved climate resilience and health through safe and sustainable water and sanitation services and livelihood development based on natural resources. The impact of the project is the growth of climate resilient and the green economy in the Far West and Karnali provinces. The project has two medium-term objectives, the first of which Increased profitable participation in value chains that are based on sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural ecosystems. The second outcome is Improved functionality of the target value. Finnish Luke is participating in the research component of the project. The total budget of the project is approximately 13.4 Meur. This is a grant equivalent to an intergovernmental organization.
