Rehabilitation of Deep Tubewell and Water Collection Reservoir to provide irrigation facility to the Smallholder Farmers for production of commercial Vegetable and Mandarin Orange

The objective of the project is to provide support to supply irrigation water through rehabilitation of Dorkhukhola-Saureni-Bahunbesi Irrigation Canal, construction of water inlets and outlets, improvement of existing HDPE pipes for the smooth flow of water within the Canal together with the construction of stone filled gabion retaining structures and provision of production inputs. The project would mainly focus on providing construction materials, skilled labors, production inputs and equipment/tools required for the rehabilitation of irrigation canal. The irrigation facility will support farmers to grow year round commercial vegetable, fruits and cereal crops, which will contribute to enhance food and nutrition security of the target beneficiaries in the long run.
