Målen utgår från Unescos Medium-Term Strategy för 2022-2029 Overall objectives: Build inclusive, just and peaceful societies by promoting freedom of expression, cultural diversity, education for global citizenship, and protecting the heritage, as well as Promote inclusion and combat discrimination, hate speech and stereotype Culture: Supporting the achievement of Outcome 5 Enhance the protection and promotion of the diversity of heritage and cultural expressions, in particular: Output 5 whereby Member States and civil society capacities are strengthened to protect and promote the diversity of cultural expressions through dynamic and inclusive cultural and creative industries and Output 6 whereby Member States capacities are strengthened to promote, monitor and measure the contribution of culture to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the local, national and regional levels. Communication and Information: Supporting the achievement of Outcome 6 Promote freedom of expression and the right to information, in particular: Output 6.CI2: Member States have strengthened capacities and raised awareness to enhance norms and policies related to freedom of expression, press freedom, safety of journalists, including women journalists, and the right to access information, online and offline, and; Output 6.CI3: Member States and media institutions enabled to strengthen media development and media pluralism, including through the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC)), and Supporting the implementation of Strategic Objective 4: Foster a technological environment in the service of humankind through the development and dissemination of knowledge and skills and the development ethical standards, realized through Outcome 8: Foster knowledge sharing and skills development in the digital age; including Output 8.CI5: Member States have strengthened institutional and human capacities to integrate media and information literacy (MIL) in policies and strategies, and to bridge the digital and knowledge divides, through the development of digital skills and competencies, particularly in the SIDS, and among women and girls and different marginalized and vulnerable groups).
