Garima - Dignity for Women II - end Chhaupadi: safe menstruation instead of stigmatisation and access to reproductive health in Western Nepal

The project will improve the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of women and girls through health promotion, WASH and the involvement of all stakeholders. Dangerous discriminatory practices related to menstruation (Chhaupadi) will be reduced. As a result, women and girls can sleep in their homes and receive a normal diet, they learn hygienic methods for menstruation, and girls attend regular classes. By mobilising local health workers, traditional healers, teachers, gatekeepers and local administrations, the right to safe menstruation is strengthened.
