South Asia Regional Infrastructure Connectivity

SARIC aims to increase private sector and Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) lending for, and quality of transport and energy projects in South Asia. SARIC has three components: i) MDB trust fund support for project preparation and technical assistance and regional infrastructure sector analysis and planning; ii) a partnership with an Australian institution to make Australian expertise available throughout the region in engineering, construction, finance, public policy and law, and iii} investment in innovative mechanisms to unlock additional private capital in South Asian Connectivity infrastructure, including from developed country institutional investors.
