Open Call: Next Generation 2020
Supporting approximately 20 art projects by organizations and individuals working with and for young people in DAC-listed countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and thereby: Amplifying the voices of young people and creating safe spaces where they can use arts and culture to imagine and explore different ways of being; Promoting the importance of the next generation of women and men; Promoting critical thinking; Inspiring the next generation to develop and share quality alternative narratives* Alternative narratives are stories that are seldom heard, that differ from a dominant narrative, that reveal a more complex reality. Quality alternative narratives are defined as being Rigorous, Original, Transformative, Context-specific (relevant to youth) and Inclusive (especially regarding gender identity).
