1. Project: 12261 Advocating for consolidation of Equality and Non-discrimination for Sustainable Peace (ENDS) Action in Nepal. 2. Project area and Country: Mahottari and Dhanusha district, Nepal 3. Project justification: Caste, gender and disability based inequalities and poverty are key problems that right holders have been facing. The situation has affected the right holders to realize their human rights such as economic rights, participation rights, right to dignified life, guaranteed by the national and international legal frameworks. There is lack of strong network of right holders in the project area to support them to identify areas of their right violation and effectively advocate their social and economic empowerment issues towards the government agencies. The Social norms and values have strong impact to create social and economic strata and structural poverty. 4. The main objective and the expected results: Enhanced socio-economic status of marginalized youth and women in Danusha and Mahattori district of Madesh Province. 5. Right-holders/beneficiaries: Right holders will include ethnic minority groups, youth, women, adolescent girls, women survivors of GBV, persons with disabilities, single women. This will be decided together with project document finalization. Duty bearers: Municipalities/Rural municipalities, Poverty and Cooperative section, DRR section and education section of municipal unit. 6. Implementing partner: Ratauli Youth Club (RYC) 7.
