Strengthening Indigenous Livelihoods & Biodiversity Conservation in Nepal

With the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Indigenous communities, ministries and experts, UNESCO will support biodiversity, livelihoods and human-wildlife coexistence in and around Chitwan National Park. The workplan will strengthen the use of Indigenous knowledge and community perspectives in conservation and sustainable tourism, helping to improve community-informed action, knowledge sharing and livelihood opportunities.
