This Activity provides Nepalese authorities with training in detailed assessment of seismic resilience; seismic damage assessment; seismic analysis including design of repair and retro-fit solutions; training in barricading, shoring, temporary works, de-construction and demolition; and to develop, in conjunction with local engineers, a culturally and economically acceptable substitute for the unreinforced brick walls used in a majority of new high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
