Water Governance Investment in Nepal

The investment assists the Government of Nepal to devise a National Water Resources Policy (NWRP). NWRP will be instrumental in providing a policy framework for provinces and local governments to devise their own policies in the federal Nepal thus assisting Nepal’s sub-national governments in water governance. The investment will also leverage in World Bank and Asian Development Bank supported massive infrastructure projects in the sector for their post construction distribution system management through NWRP. GoN will be benefitted from expertise of International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and International Centre of Excellence in Water Resource Management (ICEWaRM).
