National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, is a central constitutional human rights body in Nepal. Commission?s work focuses on monitoring transitional justice and human rights promotion. Finland with other donors has been supporting a UNDP?s capacity buildin g project. This project will further enhance the Commission?s capacity especially in the fields that intertwine with other Finnish involvement, such as, investigation of human rights violations and human rights work in education sector. The project duratio n is 18 months during 2010-2012. The total budget is 185 000 euros.
