Nepal’s mountain food system faces severe challenges due to loss of agrobiodiversity, out-migration, feminization of agriculture, low productivity, and growing climate risks. Poor diets, gender barriers, and weak local solutions further limit resilience.Target Group & Area: 2,000 households in three municipalities of Bajura and Mugu.Overall Objective: Empower women smallholders and CSAs to build resilient local food systems. Key Outputs:Enhanced capacities on agrobiodiversity, climate-resilient, and nutrition-sensitive practices.Strengthened local markets for safe and nutritious foods.Empowered CSAs and networks advocate for the right to food.
