Nepal School Feeding Program
The World Food Program (WFP) School Feeding Program has been operating in Nepal since 2013 in partnership with the Ministry of Education; Food for Education Project; World Education; Open Learning Exchange and the Nepal Red Cross Society. The project complements the Government of Nepal's school feeding program. The project operates in the mid and far west regions of the country and will provide school meals for 190,000 vulnerable students every school day of the year, learning materials for children in rural areas and support for water, sanitation and hygiene activities. The total value of this investment is $0.8 million expensed in the 2014-15 financial year.
