Emergency response to earthquake injured and most vulnerable affected persons in Nepal

The project aims to provide immediate relief to earthquake injured persons in the sector of health (emergency rehabilitation) and to the most vulnerable affected persons in the sector of protection (including psychosocial support, rehabilitation care and inclusion). HI is delivering the following results: • 1,500 injured persons and their caregivers benefit from rehabilitation services and 6 health and rehabilitation centres are supported through trainings, equipment and/or minor rehabilitation in both areas. • 5,000 most vulnerable affected persons will be identified and their needs addressed either through direct response (household essential items, psychosocial support, rehabilitation activities) or through referral to other services. • Inclusion and equal humanitarian access by the most vulnerable population are mainstreamed among emergency humanitarian stakeholders.
