Review of EnDev Data Quality
Energising Development (EnDev) is an international flagship programme for providing energy access. The objective of the EnDev approach is to facilitate market development by means of interventions in demand, supply and enabling environment in its partner countries. Since its inception in 2005, EnDev results are monitored and reported. EnDev’s monitoring approach is to quantify results, continuously improve methodologies aligned to international debates and developments, increase efficiency and transparency whilst ensuring robustness and accuracy.The objectives of this assignment are to review and further develop EnDev’s current monitoring system in theory and practice with a focus on data quality, by accessing data collection processes and consolidating verification practices into a standardised process. This two-part assignment focusses on 1. The review of monitoring processes including data collection, verification of results, and data aggregation and quality control; and2. The operationalisation of two selected result types:a. CO2 emission savings andb. Job creation.
