Support for the peace process in Nepal - Phase 3
Peace Support Program Phase III is the continuation of support to the peace process based on the results and implementation process of previous phases. The overall objective of the program is to contribute to building a peaceful, democratic, socially just and prosperous Nepal through an inclusive peace process which remains relevant due to the fact that the situation in Nepal remains fragile with a high degree of uncertainty and a continuing risk of violent outbreaks. The program builds on two main components :I) Implementation of CPA is strengthened and II) Constructive engagement by stakeholders in the wider peace process is enhanced. Support through GoN's NPTF and UNPTF targeted the government-led engagement in the peace process through an aligned and harmonized approach. Through support to the civil society, the Embassy targeted rights holders' engagement in the peace process. The program was implemented from 2010-2013 and had a budget of DKK 70 million.
