Public Financial Management Initiative for Nepal
The Public Financial Management Initiative for Nepal covers two activities namely 1) The Public Financial Management Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and 2) PFM Advisory Services for the Nepal Program. The Multi-Donor Trust Fund aims to strengthen the performance, transparency and accountability in public financial management in Nepal. Key results expected from the projects to be funded through the MDTF are: improved resource management as a result of strengthened PFM systems and processes; increased awareness and oversight of government PFM processes by diverse constituencies; and better knowledge of value for money challenges and PFM governance gaps, contributing to improved design of PFM interventions at the country and sector level. The MDTF will be used as a vehicle to support a wide range of activities based on priorities set by the government and development partners broadly categorized under three broad dimensions: Supply, Demand and Knowledge.
