F.a: Free Legal Service and Mobile Clinic for Poor and Marginalised Women and Children

Women are often victims of the discrimination. Living in remote rural areas, women's rights are often unsatisfactory. The reasons for the unequal situation can be found in cultural, economic and political factors. Nepal's judicial system is relatively slow and inefficient. Women's access to legal institutions is generally still weaker than for men and women are often not aware of their rights. The beneficiaries are the most vulnerable women and in need of legal assistance and counseling in Kathmandu, Kask, and Banken counties. The project also aims to strengthen the role of civil society in promoting women's rights in by for example networking and information-collection. Legal Aid and Consultancy Centre (LACC) was founded by women lawyers, and its goal is to get active women players in Nepal's social, legal and economic development. At the same time the organization, aims at protecting and promoting on women's and children's rights.
