Care and support for HIV infected people in Nepal

The project aims to improve the living conditions of families affected by HIV/AIDS in the project area. It is aimed at people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. In order to improve the well-being of those affected, they receive psychosocial and medical support in the form of outpatient or inpatient medical treatment, regular tests, psychosocial counselling, etc. The educational and nutritional opportunities for children infected and affected by HIV are improved by, among other things, supporting school attendance (e.g. school materials) and providing nutritional supplements. The project strengthens individuals and families affected by HIV through awareness-raising and income-generating activities, among other things. It offers individuals and families affected by HIV practical ways to generate income, including goat rearing. Through partnerships with local actors and training institutions, beneficiaries receive vocational training that equips them with skills for self-employment or better job opportunities.
