Ensuring protection of earthquake affected women and children in Nepal

The joint protection project with UNICEF and UNFPA aims to ensure the protection and dignity of women, children and vulnerable groups through the provision of safe spaces, dignity kits, and life-saving information on protection issues. In particular, UNFPA will procure and distribute 7,600 dignity kits and develop and deseminate protection related materials. UNICEF will procure and deliver clothing for 10,000 women and children and provide recreational materials to 1,000 safe spaces. The project will benefit some 480,000 people over a three-month period.
