Multi stakeholder forest sector support, transition phase
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) acting through the Embassy of Switzerland has a lead role in the implementation of the Programme during 2011-2015. After the three year transition phase the programme is expected to be handed over to a national entity. The ultimate aim of the programme is to become a National Forestry Fund administered by the Government of Nepal. During the transition phase 22 districts will be covered. The programme area will eventually be extended to 61 districts in N epal.
