Ipas Global 2025-2029

Ipas works to improve women's and girls' sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) by improving their access to safe abortion and contraception. The organisation is technically strong and a well-respected actor with strong impact and extensive operations at global, regional and national level in about 30 countries. The initiative is central to achieving the expected results within the thematic strategy for Sweden's development cooperation on health and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) 2025–2029. They have proven to have strong impact and large scope globally and nationally. A central starting point for Ipas is that access to safe, legal abortion is critical for women’s and girls’ health, well­being, and is a fundamental human right which make their relevance for gener equality strong. Ipas is assessed to have a very good understanding of the environmental challenges the world is facing and have developed a strong environmental and climate impact analysis to identify opportunities for a positive impact from the contribution on the environment.
